Briefly describe yourself and your background.
I am a 53 yr old father of 2. My family and I have been Marvin residents since 2009. I am an army veteran. I have concentrated my business in and around the Marvin area. I served on the PRG board for nearly 7 years before being appointed to a vacant seat on the Marvin Council about a year ago.

Describe your experience and accomplishments.
My experience is in construction and landscaping, which has been an asset to both PRG and Council. My accomplishments include, many new recreational events, greenway planning and development. Multiple volunteer projects at Marvin Efird Park, including construction of the community garden shed, and well house. As a member of Council, we have all as a team have gotten our new Village Hall from concept to construction. I worked on the revisions to the Parks and Greenways Master plan while Chairperson of the PRG Board. While on Council, I was part of bringing municipal waste service to Marvin. I am liaison to the Marvin Heritage District committee. I also am a representative of Marvin along with the Mayor, on the Western Union Municipal Alliance board.

What would be your top priorities for your term in office?
My top priorities would be to continue the work with the Marvin Heritage District Committee to create the best possible community gathering place for high quality living. I will continue to support our efforts to build our greenway system.

How do you plan to address those priorities?
I plan to listen to the community through programs, such as Coffee with Council, and our twice yearly town hall meetings, and that have been set up to communicate with our citizens, and work respectfully with other council members to represent the community.

What is your long-term vision for the Village and how do you plan to make it a reality?
My vision for Marvin, shared with the vast majority of our community, which is to have a low density, high quality, safe community. I currently, and will continue, to communicate with law enforcement to help keep our community safe. I will continue to work hard with my fellow council members, and other local governments (WUMA), to benefit Marvin in a positive way.
